Hello, I’m Matthew, Co-owner and the ‘M’ of M&C Construction.

I’ve been in the building trade a long time. But I never tire of seeing a project come to fruition. After all, what could be better than a client standing in their new luxury, stylish home extension, saying ‘I love it, this has totally changed my life’?

It’s the stuff of dreams, being able to give people the home they want. Our homes are our biggest expense and where we spend most of our time. So, when our customers decide to invest in improving their property, they should get exactly what they hoped for.

You will find me passionate about your project when I turn up to do your quote. I’ve built more extensions and loft conversions than I care to say, which means I bring ideas and knowledge to your project. Our background at M&C is in high end building and refurbishment work. Clinton, my co-founder and I have experience in shop fitting for high profile national chains such as Foot Locker and Disney Stores. We’ve even done refurbishment work in Harrods, as well as in art galleries housing exhibitions by Damian Hurst and Andy Warhol.

M&C construction were very easy to work with and built us a lovely home.

We wanted a loft conversion and kitchen extension to develop our 3 bedroom semi into a more family-friendly 5 bedroom. From the start, I felt Matt and Clinton were extremely honest and approachable professionals who cared deeply about the work they put their name to. Costs were clearly identified in early meetings, were reasonable and very clear. Matt was very good at walking us through the key decisions in a clear non-technical way. He and Clinton went through all the figures with us in a very professional and transparent scoping process which made sure there were no nasty surprises. Unlike some other quotes, all costs were included.

We were on-site with three young children during the build. Matt and Clinton and the whole team made every effort to minimise the impact on the daily routine. The mess was kept to a minimum and clean up at the end of each day was excellent. It never felt strange to have new people around and the kids really enjoyed their company. Although we were living in a building site for several weeks it never started to grate that the lads were in close proximity.

Timekeeping was excellent and the build came in on time and on budget. My wife project managed all of the intermediate payments and purchasing and had nothing but good to say about the professional and considerate way Matt and Clinton interacted with her. Six years on the fit and finish is still excellent which is a testament to M&Cs commitment to quality workmanship.
